Volume 4 Issue 5
• I’m including myself in wishes for a Happy Father’s Day! I told Rachel and Rebecca that the best gift is having my well and happy children with me for the celebration. Daily I work with parents who somehow fail to accept the sacred responsibility of their role which makes me thankful everyday that such is not my lot. Kudos to parents everywhere (especially dads on this their day) who understand their children to be God’s most precious gift.
• Twenty-four of you have asked to be put on our “trip list” for periodic e-mail updates (hopefully with photographs) of what we’re dubbing the East Coast Tour of 2005. We depart next Friday, and anyone else who would like to be included in our progress reports simply needs to e-mail “include me” to RevMAH@aol.com
• The shenanigans of the Christian Right are becoming evermore apparent, but to what end I’m not smart enough to know. Upon returning from our trip I hope to make exposé one of the primary characteristics of this ministry, particularly in the context of the fraudulent theology that is being perpetrated in the supposed name of Christ. In the immortal words of the character Howard Beale in the 1976 movie Network, “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!!”
• Until next time…Shalom!
